Taste
On the nose it's really limey and candied. You get a grassy and barrel note from the rums. On tasting it's really limey with some Jamaican funk vibes from the banana and the rums. Tropical and punchy, this one is great!
Origin
Created by bartender Matthew Belanger for Donna, an outstanding cocktail bar in Brooklyn. Sadly Covid claimed the place, so make this one in homage to a lovely bar and a seriously good bartender. The name is a nod to Fay Wray, the actress who spent most of King Kong being carried around in the ape's fist. Quite what that has to do with rum, lime and banana is anyone's guess, but the drink is far too good for us to hold it against them.
